Exploring Pathways for Sustainable Development in Arunachal Pradesh
Exploring Pathways for Sustainable Development in Arunachal Pradesh
It was a privilege to meet Hon'ble Shri Nyato Dukam, Cabinet Minister, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and exchange ideas on advancing sustainable and inclusive development.
We shared the work of Appropriate Technology India (AT India) and discussed opportunities to strengthen community-led development through:
Sustainable livelihoods
• Quality Education & Smart School initiatives
• Women’s empowerment and leadership
• Natural resource management & climate resilience
• Entrepreneurship & skill development
• Community institutions & local economic growth
The discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration between government, development organizations, and local communities in building resilient, self-reliant ecosystems.
"Sustainable development is not about providing resources alone—it is about empowering people to create, manage, and sustain opportunities for themselves."
We look forward to exploring opportunities for knowledge sharing and partnerships that contribute to inclusive growth, environmental stewardship, and improved livelihoods across Arunachal Pradesh.
Special thanks to Shri Riakji Duchok, OSD to the Hon'ble Minister, for his support in facilitating this meaningful interaction.
