Strengthening Knowledge, Inspiring Better Farming Practices

As part of the Holistic Rural Initiative for Development Action and Yield (HRIDAY) supported by LIC Housing Finance Ltd., an exposure visit was organised for 20 OSV beneficiaries to the Regional Horticulture Research & Training Station and KVK, Dhaulakuan.

This visit provided participants with firsthand insights into modern, research-backed agricultural practices.
Key Learning Areas included:
• Advanced vegetable cultivation in both protected and open environments
• Scientific nursery management
• Soil health management and interpretation of soil health reports
• Natural farming methods
• Pest and pollination management

Outcome:
The exposure visit strengthened the beneficiaries’ understanding of sustainable, scientific agriculture. The practical demonstrations and expert interactions encouraged them to adopt improved farming techniques, helping enhance productivity, resilience, and long-term livelihoods.
