1.Introduction
Appropriate Technology India (AT India), an Indian NGO registered under the Societies Act 1860 has been working in Uttarakhand since 1994 with dual objectives of biodiversity conservation and economic development. These objectives can be achieved only when the local communities secure economic and managerial control over their natural resources and have access to necessary information technical and financial. support. This incentive motivates them to work actively toward the long-term conservation of these resources This premise continues to inform AT India's strategy to assist village communities in Uttarakhand towards conserving their natural resources and biodiversity while developing economic opportunities through enterprise utilizing natural resources (natural resources-based products and NTFP) in an equitable. economically and environmentally sustainable manner.
Appropriate Technology India (AT India) is seeking quotations from qualified suppliers/manufacturers for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an MRF (Material Recovery Facility) Waste Shredder Machine with Belt Conveyor System. This equipment will be used for processing municipal solid waste and recyclable materials to support our waste management operations.
2. Scope of Work
1. Site Preparation & Earthworks
Site Clearance: Clearing and leveling of a 9.28 SQM area to prepare for the foundation.
Excavation: Manual excavation of soil (specifically for hilly terrain) totaling 2.83 CUM, including precise cutting and trimming.
Column Pits: Specific excavation for structural columns to a depth of 1.52m.
2. Civil & Structural Foundations
PCC Base: Providing and laying M-10 Grade Cement Concrete (1:3:6 mix) for concrete block pitching and base leveling (approx. 2.57 CUM).
Reinforcement: Supplying and fixing 230 KG of 16MM TMT bars for the substructure reinforcement as per technical drawings.
RCC Superstructure: Casting of reinforced cement concrete (M-15/1:1.5:3 mix) for the main structural support columns.
3. Masonry & Finishing Works
Brickwork: Construction of walls using brick masonry in 1:4 cement mortar (approx. 0.84 CUM).
Plastering: Application of 15mm thick cement mortar (1:4) plaster on all brick surfaces to provide a smooth finish.
Tiling: * Installation of 3.69 SQM of wall tiles up to the designated height.
Installation of 5.90 SQM of floor tiles for the station platform.
4. Steel Fabrication & Assembly
Main Frame: Fabrication of the station structure using 990 KG of heavy-duty MS sections, including:
50x50x5 MS Angles.
4" Square pipes for the main stand.
3" x 1.5" and 2" square pipes for secondary bracing and framing.
Anti-Corrosion: (Implied) All MS members must be treated/painted to prevent rusting in the hilly environment.
5. Plumbing & Filtration System
Storage Tanks: * Installation of one 1000L Overhead Tank (Raw Water).
Installation of one 500L Storage Tank (Purified Water).
RO Unit: Supply and commissioning of a Tata Swach RO System with a 200 LPH (Liters Per Hour) capacity.
Piping & Taps: * Laying 10 RM of 1-inch CPVC underground pipeline.
Installation of 4 Heavy-duty Brass Taps for water dispensing.
Ensuring all joints are leak-proof with approved fittings.
6. Branding & Signage
Branding Board: Installation of an 8' x 2.5' MS iron branding board.
Graphics: Preparation of surfaces and pasting of high-quality laminated vinyl stickers as per the approved design.
Inauguration Stone: Supply and fixing of an 18" x 24" Branding Stone.
7. Logistics & Transportation
Lead & Lift: Handling the complete logistics, including transportation of all heavy materials (steel, cement, tanks, and RO unit) to the specific site location, accounting for hilly terrain challenges.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Must be a registered firm/contractor with valid GST and PAN documentation.
Proven experience in executing civil construction, school renovation, or government/NGO infrastructure projects.
Capacity to operate and transport materials in the mountainous terrain of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh.
Financial stability to pre-finance initial phases of the work (if applicable).
4. Documents to be Submitted
Company profile / Registration certificate
PAN and GST registration copies
Product catalogues / technical brochures with specifications
At least two reference letters from previous clients for similar equipment
Compliance certificates (ISO/BIS/CE or equivalent, if applicable)
Detailed technical specifications and drawings
Quotation on official letterhead (signed and stamped)
Warranty terms and after-sales service details
5. Submission Guidelines
Interested vendors must submit their proposals including:
Company Profile: Detailing past experience and registration documents.
Work Plan & Timeline: A proposed schedule for completing the renovation across all 4 schools.
Financial Quotation (Annexure A): The attached Annexure must be completely filled, stamped, and submitted with the final proposal.
ATI Vendor Onboarding Form: It is mandatory for all vendors to fill and submit the ATI Vendor Onboarding Form along with the proposal.
Important Submission Instruction:
All required documents, along with the quotation, must be submitted in a sealed envelope through post/courier only.
Please note that quotations submitted via email will not be accepted and will be rejected.
6. Delivery Location
Project Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh (exact locations to be provided at the time of order placement).
7. Terms and Conditions
Prices should be quoted inclusive of all taxes (GST), packaging, transportation, insurance, installation, and any other charges if applicable.
Appropriate Technology India (AT India), reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation without assigning any reason.
The lowest quote will not be the sole criterion for selection; technical compliance, quality, delivery timeline, and after-sales support will also be considered.
Payment terms: 20% advance, 60% on delivery, 20% after successful commissioning.
Delivery period: within 30-50 days from order confirmation.
Quotation validity: Minimum 180 days from submission date.
